The 22nd North European Veterans Championships will take place in Fredericia Idrætscenter, Vestre Ringvej 100, 7000 Fredericia. on 16. – 19. April 2026.

Registration is open from 1st of November 2025 to 31 of March 2026

Single and double = 67.00 EUR

Mixed double = 16.00 EUR per player.

The cancellation of participation can be done without expences until 31 of March 2025

PARTICIPANTS and CLASSES

Table tennis players who were born in 1986 or before from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are invited to participate in the championships.

Singles (Men and Women)

40 (born 1986 or before)

45 (born 1981 or before)

50 (born 1976 or before)

55 (born 1971 or before)

60 (born 1966 or before)

65 (born 1961 or before)

70 (born 1956 or before)

75 (born 1951 or before)

80 (born 1946 or before)

85 (born 1941 or before)

90 (born 1936 or before)

Doubles (Men, Women and Mixed)

Categories 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90

Each player may enter only to one singles event, one doubles and one mixed doubles event. If any category has less than 4 players or doubles pairs, they will be included in a younger category.

TOURNAMENT SYSTEM

Singles and Doubles events will be played in two stages:

Preliminary rounds: 3 – 5 players in groups (Round Robin groups), top two players to final rounds and the rest of players to consolation.
Final stage and consolation will be played on a knockout basis. All matches are played best of five. In Qualification groups matches (singles & doubles) the other players from group will act as umpires. In final rounds there will be umpires appointed by the organizer

Draw

Only those players who are registered and have paid the entry fee on time will be drawn. The draw will start at 10:00 AM on Monday 6th of April

Tables: ITTF Approved Butterfly tables

Balls: Butterfly 40+ *** white

Floor: Hall 5 & 6 Blue Gerflor sports flooring with colored lines.

Preliminary Time Schedule

Registraion:

Registration will start on Thursday, April 16th at 12:00 and will finish on Friday, April 17th at 17:00.

Registration will take place in Fredericia Idrætscenter, Vestre Ringvej 100, 7000 Fredericia.

Friday, April 17th, from 11:00 to 21:00 – group matches.

Saturday, April 18th, from 9:00 to 19:00 – final stage and consolation matches.

Saturday, April 18th, at 19:30 – Get together party for participants in ADP Lounge in Fredericia Idrætscenter.

Sunday, April 20th, from 9:00 to 15:00 – finals.

Sunday, April 20th, at 15.00 award ceremony for medalists.

Awards

Four best competitors of each event will be awarded with a medal. Players loosing semifinal matches will be awarded with bronze medals. The winners of the consolation tournaments will be awarded with consolation medals.

How To get to fredericia

Transportation from Copenhagen Airport

From Copenhagen Airport, there is a direct train connection to Fredericia. Trains depart once every hour, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour.

Transportation from Billund Airport

From Billund Airport, take bus number 43 to Vejle Station. The bus departs regularly from the airport and the journey takes approximately 40 minutes.

From Vejle Station, continue by train to Fredericia. Trains to Fredericia depart several times per hour, and the travel time is approximately 20 minutes.

From Fredericia Station

Upon arrival at Fredericia Station, please take bus number 7 towards Fredericia Sports Centre (Fredericia Idrætscenter). The bus stop is located just outside the station, and the ride takes approximately 10 minutes.
