Join Our Winning Team at the Danish Table Tennis Association!

Are you ready to become part of a highly motivated and dynamic team in one of the world’s most livable countries? The Danish Table Tennis Association (DTTA) is looking for passionate individuals to join our elite coaching team at our new International Transition Center (ITC) in Brøndby, Denmark.

Who We Are:
The DTTA is a proud member of the Danish Sports Federation (DIF), representing 168 clubs and nearly 10,000 members. Our senior elite table tennis teams have recently achieved remarkable international success, including European medals, Olympic qualifications, and top-tier results at the World Table Tennis Championships.

Our Vision:
To maintain Denmark’s elite status and establish a top-level women’s national team, we’ve adopted a Talent & Elite Strategy. This strategy is focused on developing young players into professional athletes. The ITC will be a hub for up to eight U19 players from across Denmark, offering them a world-class training environment with international ambitions.

What We Offer:

You will be joining a strong, unified and highly skilled team of coaches, with diverse and unique strengths, whose main goal is to help our players maximize their potential. In order to achieve this goal, you will work closely with like-minded and equally driven colleagues, in an environment characterized by creativity, respect and quality.

Ideal Candidates:

We are looking for individuals who are driven by a genuine passion for table tennis and a commitment to helping others grow and improve both as a person and as an athlete. You should seek improvement and development in yourself much as you do in your athletes – we value a commitment to continuous personal and professional development for everyone in our team. We will pay particular attention to two types of professional profiles:

The Coach Profile

  • Experience working with top-level youth or senior players internationally
  • Background in national team settings
  • Highly educated (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in sports or top-level coaching certification.
  • Exceptional communication skills with players and fellow coaches

The Player-Transitioning-to-Coach profile

  • Current or recently retired player with international competition experience
  • Passionate about the sport and eager to transition into a coaching role
  • Can contribute to the existing training group as both a player and a coach
  • Commitment to completing coaching/sports education

Skills and Expertise:
– Up-to-date with modern table tennis techniques.
– Strong understanding of mental and physical training.
– Tactical game analysis and social skills.

Additional Perks:
– Opportunity to connect with table tennis clubs across Denmark for additional coaching engagements.
– Flexible work environment, including weekends, evenings and travel.

Join Us:
Employment starts in August 2024 and continues through to the 2028 Olympics, with an initial five-month trial period.
